Simms has come out with a new line of gear designed for the adventure enthusiast. Made for lightweight minimal use on those long approaches to the water. We are excited to try some of this stuff out this summer and report back to you.
It is that time of year again in Colorado. Flows are on the rise and now is the time to ditch your trout gear. Anglers All put on this fantastic event every year called the Mile High 25. It is a full weekend fly fishing competition. It challenges anglers to try to catch 25 different species of fish on the fly. I highly recommend this event. For more information see below.
The guys overs at Simms and 10 Barrel Brewing have joined forces to create Reel Good beer. This is a summer ale that is light, crisp, and easy to drink. Perfect for a summer day on the water. Even better than the beer a portion of all proceeds goes to Trout Unlimited.

There was a huge gas spill on the St. Vrain River a few weeks ago. This is such terrible news because the St. Vrain has just recently started to come back to life after the terrible floods a few years back. Thousand of fish died due to this spill. We are hoping this fishery recovers again but this breaks our heart.

It is that time of year when many Fly Fishing film makers scramble to enter their videos into the F3T in hopes of getting their segment toured around the country in front of a captive audience. This year the trailers for the F3T seem a little different than years past with focuses on many different aspects that challenge/ reward the sport of fly fishing. The fly fishing film tour is scheduled to start on January 24th in Denver so if you are looking for something to do on that night it might be worth the admission to see what is playing this year. The event draws a fun crowd and there is usually some good schwag up for grabs. Carpland in my opinion is the best trailer that has been selected for the tour but then again I am biased towards Mr. Beattie. Hope to see you in Denver at the show.
